Based on the foundation of the 'Presbyterian Medical Center Mission' in 1959 and its performance of medical missions and services, PMCI was formally registered as an NGO to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for specialized medical missions and training of professional human resources.

Our main priority is to empower local people to develop their own community by themselves through our medical ministries. We systematically pursue various types of medical missions, such as dispatching overseas missionaries and providing mission-related support, establishing domestic rural medical missions and free clinics for foreign laborers, providing support for the desperately poor, single mothers, and migrant women, and managing medical mission centers, thereby sharing Jesus' love all around the world.
